After the separation, the user has to decide or to choose the mold base. Currently MoldDesign supports DME, Hasco, Meusburger. We are ready to deliver FUTABA (for Japan).
The procedure for configuring the mold base can take time, let's say up to 10 minutes for each mold, because many parameters are involved.
In order to speed up the process it is possible to save and re-use existing assemblies, existing mold bases.
This part is "still ok" for a standard mold base,, even if it is at the limits. As a matter of fact in this demo we used the biggest commercial HASCO in the market.
Moldmakers can, in any case, build their own moldbase using the standard think3 "thinkparts" configurator.
Another way of creating a reference mold base is to use the configurator provided by SOME of the commercial moldbases producer in the internet,, (usage of ONLINE 3D CATALOGS) and then download the assembly using standard formats. As you can see, there is extreme flexibility for building the mold base.
