This video shows the machining of a cylinder head on a 5-axis machine. One set-up is used to reach both the intake and exhaust ends of the port. The dedicated "tube" cycles from OPEN MIND Technologies hyperMILL(r) software were used to program this part. hyperMILL includes advanced collision detection and collision avoidance to simplify the programming process for complex parts.
